“The June 2017 fires in Knysna took our house away, but it could never take the view away”. It was a long and hard walk to process the loss and to get to a stage where we could re-build a new home. The owners commissioned Andre Vercueil a local architect (who after all is one of the share holders) to design a new house on the 47ha property, set within a pristine natural dune fynbos conservancy on the Western Heads.

The property overlooks the Knysna Lagoon towards the North, with the Outeniqua and the Swart Berg Mountain ranges in the distance. The views are spectacular where each day we are treated to a magnificent display of ever changing sunrises and sunsets and everything between. The Knysna Lagoon is also constantly displaying her beauty as the mist rolls, and tides rise and fall.

Sharing this unique experience with nature lovers in the tourism market was an obvious decision, hence the establishment of two rooms “Dusk” and “Dawn” for you to enjoy. Come and experience our ‘Forever View’, where you may be lucky enough to hear the call of the Fish Eagle, to follow the flight of the local Eagles and other bird life from your elevated balcony and to experience the beauty of the pristine fynbos!
